We are here.  Life is beginning to have a small resemblance of normalcy.  The kids started school last Tuesday, I only cried half as much on their "first day" as I did on their "last day" of school in Preston.  Life is all about progress, right?  Tenley and Xander have both made friends.  Xander is in a 4th & 5th grade split class, and from what I hear, he has one of the absolute best teachers in the school.  We took Tenley to the Gymnastics Academy today.  I think we have come to an agreement that she will thrive most in the "team" course, which is a lot of strict commitment, structure and training.  I know Ten is up for it, but am I? We went home for Thanksgiving and as family tradition calls for, we cut a tree.  We were even able to get it up amongst the boxes!  Josh had his first real day of work in his new position today, he loves it!  Whew!  That's a huge relief!  Even though we miss our friends and family badly, our holiday spirit is coming around in full swing and we are excited to see what the new year brings!

A New Adventure

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns.  We thought we were destined to live in this same house, in the same county Josh grew up in, for like ever! A couple factors changed that rather quickly. Josh hates  the jr. High atmosphere at his work. We frequently discuss how you shouldn't bring your work home with you, however, when you spend 2/3 of your day in this environment, it's kind of hard not to let it follow you home.  He was stuck. His opportunities for advancement in his current branch were maxed out.  Josh received a couple calls from his company headquarters to make a move south for better pay, a less hostile environment, and quite frankly a change.  Long thinking, fervent prayers and much debating led to a decision that is changing our lifestyle.  Tenley is excelling   in our small town "Flip Flop Shop", she is almost to 100 AR points, walk the hall worthy, loves school and her friends. Xander jumped in to Idaho History head first and has completed all his projects for the year! Getting ready to play city basketball, an making his first lasting friends since kindergarten. Challys loves her tumbling class and is getting good at "listening to her teacher".  I love being in Young Women's, PTO, and am surrounded by so many truly amazing friends.  Are we crazy?!? We ask ourselves a lot if we have made the right decision to uproot our family and move to Tooele? The question is left unanswered. It has happening regardless. November 23 we will make the trek into the world of the unknown. New adventures to be had, and plenty of growing to do. A house fell into place, and we will keep ours "just in case".  We have all warmed up to the idea and prospect. Challys thinks we are "moving to Halloween". I hope it's not that scary! We have found a wonderful gym for Tenley to attend. Xander will be close to an awesome MX track and mostly they are incredibly resilient little people and will make friends and adjust amazingly. (Fingers crossed.) I am new to this "blogging world" and am hoping someone will take pity on me soon and help me add some pictures! :)

Lots of love!
